Memory is a wonderful thing we all have, and cherish. Memories make me think of
good and bad, easy and hard, and boring or exciting tomes. For this interesting
show at the Cahoomn Museum, I've focused on my years growing up in the 1950's.
In our family, my sisters and I spent the school year in New York City and
summers in Massachusetts. So, I painted two memories that I treasure.
Growing up in the 1950's, our family spent our summers in Massachusetts. My
Grandfather had a small farm in North Reading - on Cold Spring Road - where I
was born.
Cape Cod was a favorite summer destination. I remember many warm afternoons,
walking the bay in Provincetown or Hyannis at low tide, looking for creatures,
or fishing , flying a kite, making sand castles, and enjoying ice cream!
